"You can't judge the book by its cover."

“You can’t judge the book by its cover.”  I agree with this quotation. Why do I agree with it? I was thinking if no one would know obviously what inside the gift box is until we had torn the wrapper and opened the box. Before we opened the box, all we might do were guessing at. If we want to be objective while we judge somebody or something, we have to understand them then ensure our own understanding to be true not only by looking at somebody or something from their or its outward appearance. I think perceiving is better than judging.

I have experienced the pain and difficult part in my life. I met a man in the factory where I used to work a few years ago. He was a manager in the paper packaging department. His outward appearance was clean and tidy. He always wore well-ironed clothe and trouser even he also comb his hairs and polishing it in order to blacken his grey hairs. The way he walked in the factory was distinct. His outward appearance ensured me that he was a good leader, gentle, and smart. In fact, not all of my thoughts about him were truly right.

After I had conversation with him in many meetings and opportunities outside the office, finally I understood who he really was. He was stubborn person and rarely listened his employees’ difficulties in their work. He was easy to be angry and often spoke rude words to people especially to them who did wrong depended upon his opinion. He was abusive even in the middle of meeting. I was thinking that being angry or blaming somebody in front of many people would embarrass the person whom was being blamed. It was not gentle and smart way to communicate with people.
